Dee Anglers Association
Membership now includes affiliation to the Dee Anglers Association, which allows all members to coarse fish for free on their excellent stretches of the River Dee around Holt and Farndon.

These notes are to assist Anglers in finding Waters:
Beat 5. Access is via Farndon side of the Farndon Bridge. walk up-stream of the River, over the boards and the fishing beats indicated by Dee Anglers Signs.

Beat 7. Access is via Dee Lane, a small lane a few yards from where the A534 & B5130 meet in Holt. Dee Lane leads under the new Farndon bridge. Parking is on the left hand side under the bridge. Do not obstruct the lane or gates.

Beat 8. Access is via Dee Lane, a small lane a few yards from where the A534 & B5130 meet in Holt. Dee Lane leads under the new Farndon bridge. Parking is on the left hand side under the bridge. Do not obstruct the lane or gates.

Beat 9. Access is via Dee Lane, a small lane a few yards from where the A534 & B5130 meet in Holt. Dee Lane leads under the new Farndon bridge. Parking is on the left hand side under the bridge. Do not obstruct the lane or gates.

Beat 10. is the water immediately below Farndon bridge. Left hand bank facing downstream. Parking is available on the Farndon side of the bridge or in the field at the upstream end of Beat 11

Beat 11. is approached by the track indicated on the map which is located by the 30mph sign on the A534 approaching Holt from Wrexham. This track leads to the downstream end of Beat 10. Beat 11 begins where you meet the river and extends for 1 mile approx.

Beat 12. Sutton Green, about 3 miles from Holt on the B5130, Sutton Green is signposted on the left. Proceed straight down this road for about half a mile until you come to the farm on the right. Park on the grass, cross over the style, down the steep hill, cross 2 meadows and you arrive at the river. The Beat continues downstream for 1 mile approx.

Lower Farm. (Mr. Rigby) From Holt take the B5130, turn left at Isycoed at the T Junction. With the farm to your right the track goes down to the last gate. The hard track ends here. Park on the hard track and walk down to the river. Should the first 2 gates be locked, a key is available at the farm (at reasonable times). The waters run downstream from the fence to your right, to the fence with a style in it.

Lower Hall Farm. (Mr. Bellis) Isycoet. Take the first left track signposted Old Lower Hall Farm, stay on the hard track until it forks left in front of the Old Hall Farm (private), drive into the enclosure and park there. Walk down the side of farmhouse and on to the river bank. The waters start at the sampling gauge and run downstream behind the private farm property to our next water.
