Bye Laws
1. Members shall do nothing in any way to endanger or tarnish the good reputation of the Club.
2. Current membership cards with photographs must be carried and produced on request of any other member at Club waters or outings, together with Environmental Agency Rod Licenses and association cards when required
3. Any Committee member may at any time ask for any other member to surrender his card to him and the card shall be surrendered forthwith.
4. All forms of transport must be parked at the designated car parks. Parking elsewhere is prohibited. No vehicles (including cycles and motor bikes) of any description may be taken on to private land or parked on the verges (with the exception of the Roadside, Stork and Parklands Ponds). The only exception will be by express permission of the PSAC Committee.
5. The approach to Club waters shall be by access approved by landowner/farmer only. Crops, fences and hedges must not be damaged. Gates must not be left open.
6. The Close Season on the Cub waters shall be March 1st until May 31st inclusive in any year or as designated by the PSAC Committee. The USE of KEEPNETS is BANNED during the CLOSE SEASON.
7. No member shall be on Club facilities (including car parks) before;
(a) 4am in the case of the Stork, Roadside, Firemans and Parklands Ponds.
(b) 6am in the case of the ponds accessed from the Main Club Hut and Car Park.
(c) 7am in the case of Raby Mere.
All Club facilities including Car Parks must be vacated One hour after the published sunset on that day.
8. Non-members shall not be brought or invited to the Club Waters whether fishing or otherwise, with the exception of Honorary Members as set out in point 2D of the Constitution.
9. Junior members between the ages of 8 and 14 will only visit or fish club waters accompanied by a parent or guardian who must be a Club Member. The parent or guardian must fish on the same pond and in close proximity to that Junior Member at all times. The only exception to this rule is during official Club Matches.
10. Members are required when fishing the Club Waters to have a landing net set-up prior to commencement of fishing which has a pole length of at least 4ft.
11. A suitable disgorger must be to hand at all times when fishing the Club waters.
12. Fishing is only allowed from designated swims (with the exception of the area above the bridge).
13. Fishing on the club waters is restricted to one rod or pole per angler and one hook only at all times (with the exception of Raby Mere where two rods per angler may be used).
14. All fish must be returned to the water from which they where caught.
15. All large fish 4lb and over caught on Club Waters shall be immediately returned to the water and must not be retained in keep nets/keep sacks. The exception is on official Club matches, when the retaining of larger fish will be at the discretion of the Match Captain.
16. Any keep net used shall be a minimum of 2 meters in length with a ring diameter of 380mm in order to prevent damage to fish.
17. Any member on Club waters or Club outings with litter in their immediate vicinity will be held responsible for such letter with particular emphasis to discarded monofilament line and the danger it poses to wildlife.
18. Disposable containers, glass or tin, such as beer bottles and cans and luncheon meat and sweet corn tins are not allowed on club waters. Plastic containers and bottles are permitted.
19. Terminal tackle must not be left in the water when vacating peg or swim, even temporarily.
20. Ground bait and mixers are permitted on club waters but must not be used to excess.
21. Boilies, Bloodworm, Joker and all types of nuts are banned from Club waters, The only exception is on Raby Mere where boilies may be used in moderation.
22. All nets must be dipped where dipping and rinsing solutions are available.
23. All portable audio devices can only be played on the Club waters through earphones.
24. Fire arms, air weapons and knives (with the exception of penknives) and other such offensive weapons are prohibited from Club waters.
25. Pets are not allowed on Club waters.
26. The Committee regularly organises Club outings to which numbers are limited. From the 2010 season the selection for inclusion in an away match will be through the number of working parties attended in the previous season. This will be done on a descending scale for the anglers who place their name on the appropriate lists. If there are any remaining spaces left for anglers who have failed to attend a working party, then a draw will be made from those whose names are remaining on the on the list.
Any member who fails to turn up for the match once the final list is published must pay any match or travel fees incurred by the club.27. Fires at Club Waters are prohibited except on official working parties and must be made safe at the end of the working party.
28. The introduction, transfer and removal of fish and plants on Club waters are not allowed without the permission of the PSAC Committee
29. Any member found in breach of the Bye-Laws will be brought before the Committee for disciplinary action, and/or have their membership card confiscated and returned at the discretion of the Committee.
30. No member is allowed on Club Waters, designated car parks or adjacent car parking areas on the days of allocated working parties, or permitted to fish club waters until 1pm, unless;
(a) For the purpose of taking part in the working party that day.
(b) Having attended and taken part in the working party that day.
(c) For the purpose of speaking to someone attending at that working party.
All Club facilities including Car Parks must be vacated One hour after the published sunset on that day.

Any member can report another member to the Committee for breaching Bye-Laws.
October 2008.Match Rules
1. A match captain shall be appointed who may appoint such assistants as he thinks fits.
2. The match captain’s decision shall be final.
3. Membership of the Club shall not automatically entitle a member to go on an organised outing (point 26 of the Bye-Laws).
4. Pegs or swims can only be redrawn with the consent of the match captain.
5. Legal fishing area on Club outings on rivers shall be one yard upstream from the members peg to one yard upstream of the next downstream peg.
6. No contestant shall break the surface of the water (except to plummet the depth and position their keep net) until the signal for the commencement of the match is given by the person duly appointed to give such signal.
7. Contestants may set up more than one rod or pole but may fish with only one rod or pole at a time. Not more than one hook may be used and baited at one time.
8. Keep nets and landing nets must be used at all times, see Bye Laws 10,15 and 16.
9. All fish to be weighed at respective pegs.
10. All fish caught shall count in the weigh-in except game fish.
11. Peg numbers shall be returned to the match captain or his assistant where applicable
12. Acceptance of these rules shall be a condition of entry
13. Fishing is restricted to half way to the next fished peg left or right (if fishing both banks then half way across).
14. The weigh in shall be an agreement between the weigher, checker and the angler whose fish are being weighed.
