Chester Tackle Locker are running an open match on Bank Holiday Monday May 29th, on the S.U Canal at Pretty Bridge in Upton behind Chester Zoo.
All welcome to come, pools will be £20 all in with the draw at the bridge at 8.30am. The peg fee for this length is £3 with all of the money going directly to Claire House Hospice. Fish from 10:30am to 3:30pm
It has been a long time since an open has been held on here, as far as we know, but all the towpath work is now complete giving a smooth, easy access for walking or trolleys and pleasure catches have been very promising!
BUT! There will be boats (less than the Shroppie mainline we hope), there will be bikes, there will be walkers. There might be Bream, Tench and Eels, but there won’t be any mud! So make sure you are OK with all of this before you book on!
The pegs being used for this match will be in the Canal and River Trust Pairs Qualifier to be held on July 2nd, so a chance for a practice for those entered.
