General description

As the name suggests the ponds are situated alongside the B5151 Willaston Road. There is parking for three or four cars on the hard standing and verge in front of and left and right of the locked gate. As you go through the gate, the two ponds that are interconnected by a narrow cut through the bank between the two, spanned by a metal bridge are immediately in front of you.  These ponds are popular with both our mobile and less mobile members a like due to their accessibility.

The ponds hold a good stock of fish including Tench, Rudd, Perch, Grass Carp, Crucian Carp and the ever popular Brown Goldfish, all the fish in the Roadside have their fair share of specimens amongst them.

No Keepnets on this water because of two types of invasive weed, one of which is the Non Native Floating Pennywort that we do not want transferred to any of our other waters, or any other water for that matter and we would ask members to follow the Environment Agency’s advice of CHECK, CLEAN, DRY
