Work Parties

As a non profit making constituted club we rely on volunteers to attend working parties to ensure the waters are kept to the very highest standards whilst keeping subscriptions as low as possible.
We hold one Sunday morning a month in the warmer months to keep on top of the grass, whilst in the cooler months have two Sunday working parties that concentrate on larger jobs, such as swim building and de-silting.

For larger jobs we generally employ contractors.

Whilst safety is paramount and we provide all the equipment and it is a good way of getting out and discovering the waters and meeting fellow members. There is work to suit all ages and abilities. All working party Sunday mornings meet at the club hut at 8am.

Please note that no fishing is allowed on any club waters until 1pm on the day of the Sunday working party.

REMEMBER NO FISHING WHEN A WORK PARTY IS ONGOING

You are all welcome to come along and lend a hand at any Work Party

This Rule will be “Strictly Enforced”

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED ON ANY CLUB WATERS BEFORE 1pm
***Or to be waiting in the Car parks/designated parking areas, to go fishing***

ON THE DATES DISPLAYED UNLESS

A. For the purpose of taking part in the working party that day.
B. Having attended and taken part in the working party that day.
C.For the purpose of speaking to someone attending at that working party
If caught, You May be asked to Surrender your Card
and you Will have to answer to the Committee.(PSAC Bye Law 25)

(We may have additional ad-hoc working parties when only the ponds involved will be closed and you are free to fish the ponds that remain open. In all cases advance notices will be posted)
