General Description

This is the first part of the final section to link the stretch from Mollington Bridge on Parkgate Road all the way through Chester to Chemistry Lock where the Dee Anglers stretch ends. This stretch of the Shropshire Union takes in all the prolific fishing on and around Telford’s Basin including the small area on the other side of the swing bridge on the left as you enter the basin from Mollington and the Dee Branch down as far as the Dee Lock.

Members of Dee Anglers, Darlech AC,  Liverpool & District Angling Association, Lymm Angling Club and Newton Le Willown Anglin Association are allowed to fish this water through affiliation.

The following is a link to the  Improve Your Canal Fishing videos with Simon Mottram (Motty) . A great set of videos for those wishing to learn more about or get into canal fishing!

For our youngsters and parents of youngsters who would like to introduce them to canal fishing, will find this link to the C & R T’s  Learn to Fish videos with Motty, invaluable.
